 Produces organic wines from grapes harvested in well-kept vineyards. The company seeks to increase the popularity of Georgian methods for the production of wine in qvevri and of rare Georgian varieties of grape. Pheasant’s Tears’ vineyards are situated in various micro-zones, and all of their wines are left to ferment and age in qvevri.

At Pheasant’s Tears, we produce artisanal natural wines according to ancient Georgian traditions.

We start by growing Georgian varietals in rare terroir using organic principles to produce luscious, healthy grapes. All our wines are fermented and aged in qvevri, clay vessels lined with organic beeswax and buried in the earth. We ferment using naturally occurring yeasts and painstaking attention to achieve wines of character and sophistication deeply rooted in the richness of the Georgian soil and Georgian culture.

Our name comes from a Georgian tale in which the hero claims that only a wine beyond measure could make a pheasant cry tears of joy. With each bottle that leaves our hands we strive to meet that ancient standard.
我们的名字来源于一个格鲁吉亚的美丽传说,英雄说只有这世上无法估量的美酒才能使山鸡喜极而泣。每一瓶经由我们之手的美酒都力求达到古代的标准。
